You know along with the evidence and research I’ve also had to spend SO MUCH TIME on actual farms. A part of my program was a full time internship on a dairy farm where I spent like 60 hours a week. Another part was an unpaid internship on an 8000 cow dairy where I stayed whole mornings. They’re not going to stop Business As Usual for that long for some snot nosed kid to learn “propaganda uwu”, I wasn’t even working with the high salary owners but the laborers, some of whom couldn’t speak English.
I know most videos are horseshit because I’ve spent a high percentage of my education ON FARMS WATCHING ANIMALS, helping laborers. Nothing I’ve ever seen has been consistent with the videos. Nothing. I’m awful at lectures, I space out, but my animal science degree is all about getting students out there observing day to day farm operations. Does abuse exist? I’m sure but also there are people who beat their dogs but they aren’t the norm where you can safely assume everyone with a dog beats them.
The videos exist because shock sells. Videos can be doctored, personal experience cannot. A professor will tell you dairy cows are shit moms, it wasn’t until I saw a cow try to kill her calf or all the cows that ignored their calf and beef cows with their calves to compare that I really absorbed it. Not once have I met anyone in the dairy industry who didn’t care about the comfort of cows and didn’t seem genuinely fond of them from the immigrant workers to the higher ups.
This post is just… ridiculously arrogant and gullible lmao. Y’all really believe anything you see on the internet is true so long as it’s animal ag related.
